By scheduling an appointment, purchasing a service, submitting documents, or otherwise using Pressed Seal services, you agree to the policies and terms described on this page.
Pressed Seal provides mobile notary, notary signing, apostille assistance, Legal Document Assistant (LDA) document preparation, and other administrative and business support services. Services are provided based on availability, eligibility, applicable law, and the specific requirements of each appointment.
Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate information and for reviewing documents before signing or submission. Pressed Seal is not responsible for errors resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information supplied by a client or third party.
Scheduling an appointment does not guarantee that a notarization, document preparation, apostille, signing, or other requested service can be completed. Completion may depend on identification, document requirements, signer availability and willingness, witnesses, facility access, legal requirements, and other circumstances outside Pressed Seal's control.
Pressed Seal reserves the right to decline or discontinue a service when the requested service cannot lawfully or properly be performed, required conditions are not satisfied, safety concerns exist, or circumstances prevent completion.
Use of Pressed Seal services constitutes acknowledgment of the applicable booking, cancellation, payment, after-hours, notary, and LDA policies described below.
-
Appointments are reserved specifically for the client and requested service.
A $75 non-refundable standard booking fee is required to reserve a standard appointment and covers the scheduled appointment time. Additional time beyond the scheduled appointment may be billed at $75 per additional hour, when applicable.
All booking and consultation fees are non-refundable.
Cancellations and rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
Missed appointments, cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or arrival more than 15 minutes late may result in forfeiture of the booking fee. A new booking fee may be required to schedule another appointment.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that all required documents, acceptable identification, signers, witnesses, and other necessary materials are available at the scheduled appointment.
If an appointment cannot be completed because required documents, identification, signers, witnesses, authorization, facility access, or other client-provided requirements are unavailable, booking and appointment fees remain non-refundable.
-
Fees vary based on the service requested, appointment duration, location, travel requirements, scheduling, document preparation needs, after-hours or emergency service, and other applicable circumstances.
Unless otherwise stated, a $75 non-refundable standard appointment fee is required to reserve an appointment. The standard appointment fee includes one notarized signature. Each additional notarized signature is $15, in accordance with the applicable California maximum notarial fee.
After-hours or emergency appointments require an additional $150 after-hours/emergency service fee, which is charged in addition to the $75 standard appointment fee. For example, an after-hours or emergency appointment begins at $225 ($75 standard appointment fee + $150 after-hours/emergency service fee) and includes one notarized signature. Additional notarized signatures are $15 each.
Additional appointment time beyond the scheduled appointment may be billed at $100 per additional hour, when applicable.
Travel, courier, shipping, document preparation, apostille processing, facility access, parking, printing, administrative, expedited, and other applicable charges may be quoted separately when relevant to the requested service.
The $15 notarial fee included with the standard appointment fee applies to the first notarized signature. Any additional notarial acts or signatures are charged separately in accordance with applicable California law. All other booking, travel, after-hours, document preparation, administrative, and service charges are separate from California notarial fees.
Any remaining balance is due according to the payment terms provided for the appointment or service. Pressed Seal may require payment before beginning or completing certain services.

Pressed Seal offers after-hours, weekend, holiday, same-day, and emergency mobile appointments by reservation and subject to availability.
After-hours or emergency appointments require an additional $150 after-hours/emergency service fee, which is charged in addition to the $75 standard appointment fee. An after-hours or emergency appointment therefore begins at $225 ($75 standard appointment fee + $150 after-hours/emergency service fee) and includes one notarized signature.
Each additional notarized signature is $15, in accordance with the applicable California maximum notarial fee.
The standard appointment includes up to one hour of appointment time. Appointments are billed in one-hour increments. If the appointment extends beyond the first hour, an additional $100 will be charged for each additional hour or portion thereof. Additional time is not prorated by the minute.
Travel, facility access, parking, document preparation, apostille processing, loan signing, courier, printing, administrative, expedited, and other applicable charges are not included in the $225 starting rate and may be charged separately when applicable.
References to 24/7 availability mean that Pressed Seal accepts requests for appointments outside regular business hours. 24/7 availability does not guarantee that a particular appointment time, location, or requested service will be available.
Same-day, after-hours, weekend, holiday, and emergency requests are accepted based on scheduling, travel distance, facility access, service requirements, and availability.

Pressed Seal provides California notarial services in accordance with applicable California notary laws and requirements.
Each signer must personally appear as required for the requested notarial act and provide acceptable identification or otherwise satisfy an identification method permitted by California law.
Not sure which identification is accepted? Click here to view acceptable ID types.
A notary public verifies matters required for the notarial act but does not verify the truthfulness, legality, accuracy, or enforceability of the document itself.
A notary public cannot choose the appropriate notarial act for a client when doing so would constitute unauthorized legal advice. If a document does not specify the required notarial act and the signer is unsure which act is needed, the signer may need to obtain instructions from the document recipient, issuing agency, or a qualified attorney.
Signers must be willing and able to communicate and participate in the notarization. Pressed Seal may decline a notarization when legal requirements cannot be satisfied.
Clients are responsible for determining whether witnesses are required and for arranging required witnesses unless Pressed Seal has expressly agreed to provide or coordinate them.
California notarial fees are charged separately from mobile service, booking, travel, after-hours, loan signing, document preparation, and other non-notarial service fees.
Pressed Seal does not provide legal advice through its notary services.
-
Pressed Seal provides document preparation services through a registered California Legal Document Assistant (LDA) for individuals representing themselves.
Pressed Seal is not a law firm, and an LDA is not an attorney.
Pressed Seal cannot provide legal advice, recommend legal strategies, interpret the law for a client, represent a client in court, select legal remedies, or advise a client regarding legal rights or consequences.
LDA services are limited to permitted document preparation and related services at the client's direction.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information and for making their own legal decisions. If legal advice, legal interpretation, representation, or assistance determining what legal action to take is required, clients should consult a licensed attorney.
No attorney-client relationship is created by communicating with or purchasing services from Pressed Seal.
Notary services and LDA services are separate professional functions. When both are provided in connection with the same matter, each service remains subject to its applicable requirements and limitations.
